Hamptons Art Show Provides Awareness For Domestic Violence Agency

The Retreat’s has announced the top 25 artists’ entries for their 5th Annual Hamptons Group Art Show at the Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery in Sag Harbor. Artwork was selected by jurors, Sara Nightingale (owner of the Sara Nightingale Gallery in Water Mill) and Scott Sandell (Visual Arts Director of Southampton campus of Stony Brook University). Artists from around the world including Sweden, Israel, Russia, and the United States submitted entries in painting, mixed media, drawing, photography, graphics, 2D, 3D, and sculpture.

Featured artists include Gina Altadonna, Gary Beeber, Mary Chiaramonte, Patricia Christakos, Janet Culbertson, Catherine Eldridge, Carol Glassman, Michelle Hartney, Sylvia Hommert, Barbara Hyman, Linda Sirow, Pia Ledy, Mary Ancilla Martinez, Michael McLaughlin, Bruce Milne, Lea Morgan, Patty Neibling, John Nieman, Kat O’Neill, Patricia Park, Renè Porter, Jerry Schwabe, Kerry Sharkey-Miller, Madelyn Simon, and Kim Zarney. The top three “best in show” will be announced at the opening reception, and those artists will win a separate group exhibition at the gallery to be held in the spring of next year.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, November 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Artwork is available for purchase now at www.hamptonsjuriedartshow.com and also at the Richard J. Demato Fine Arts Gallery during the group show. The show will be on display Saturday, November 9, through Wednesday, November 20.
