The Sixth Annual Art Groove is returning to Ashawagh Hall on Saturday, April 9th and Sunday, April 10th.

“Art Groove usually attracts roughly 300 people,” shared Geralyne Lewandowski. “This year we’ve added a motion graphics video which will be projected outside ON Ashawagh Hall by John Jinks.”
The musical, performance and visual art experience will feature works from 14 contemporary artists, including Laura Benjamin, Barbara Bilotta, Rosalind Brenner, Michael Cardacino, Nadine Daskaloff, Anahi DeCanio, Ellen Dooley, Ginger Hendler, Frank Latorre, Geralyne Lewandowski, Tom Steele, Ursula Thomas, Charles Waller, and Mark Zimmerman.
The Art Groove Opening Reception will take place on Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. “The celebration will include Blues by the King Bees and, of course, great dance music and fantastic artwork,” added Lewandowski. “It’s definitely not to be missed, and the best part is it’s FREE!” The evening will kickoff with the special musical performance from Rhythm and Blues Rock band The King Bees featuring Frank Latorre, followed by the chance to bust a move during DJ G-Funk’s hot mix.
The pop-up exhibit will also showcase a Special Film Preview of “Rebbot,” a projection mapped motion graphics video that will be projected on the exterior of Ashawagh Hall.
“Making the Guitar Maker,” a documentary by John Jinks, will screen on Sunday, April 10th at 3 p.m.

The Sixth Annual Art Groove will be on display Saturday, April 9th from 12 to 11 p.m. and Sunday, April 10th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
