It seems like you can buy just about anything online, and now, you can get the intimate gallery experience without leaving the comfort of your home.
Ryan M. Salinetti, a small business owner, art lover, and designer, wanted to find a way to provide a visual aide for artists and fellow small businesses, so the Southampton resident created The Nice Niche, LLC, a virtual spotlight on creators, artisans and modest companies. But that wasn’t enough for Salinetti, who recently launched The Niche Gallery.
“The Niche Gallery is a collection of artists that have been previously featured on our website, www.theniceniche.com,” explained Salinetti. “By making their artwork more accessible to buyers, the gallery hopes to inspire collectors and build connections without the hindrance of a physical location.”
Currently, “visitors” can browse through original pieces from Jessica Brilli of Quincy, MA, Jenny Brown of Providence, RI, Sarah Lutz of New York, NY, Georgia Nassikas of McLean, VA, Kelly Neidig of Portland, OR, Peter Roux of Winston-Salem, NC, and East Hampton’s own Dennis Leri. While at the moment, only seven artists are displayed, the gallery is working with an addition three artists and has plans to rotate in new names based on what work is available. “I hope to keep artists in the gallery for at least six months,” noted Salinetti.
While the East End has its fair share of remarkable galleries, The Niche Gallery will gives artists that opportunity to have their work shown on a global scale. Salinetti says the gallery will present a variety of media and will feature no more than 12 artists at a time. Prices vary from $250 to $8,000.
“We hope you enjoy our handpicked variety of artists,” she added.
