What makes an artist unique? Their distinctive style.
East End Arts is asking local artists to embrace their trademark and explore what makes them stand out amongst a crowd during East End Arts’ upcoming non-juried, all media Elizabeth Richard Memorial Annual Members’ Show.
“As painters, photographers, sculptors, etc., we all eventually develop a signature style,” noted East End Arts Gallery Director Jane Kirkwood. “Please enter a piece that most highlights your unique style of expression.”
The “My Unique Style” themed show is one of seven art shows of 2017 that is part of East End Arts’ “Elements of Style” umbrella themed series.
Artists may submit one original works and all media will be accepted. Pieces can be a maximum dimension of 14 inches wide and 40 inches high (including frame), and artwork should be 10 pounds or less. Sculpture is limited to 30 pounds and cannot be larger than 14 inches wide in any direction, and up to 72 inches in height. Poems must be framed and should not exceed 14 inches wide.
To participate, artists must be or become a member of East End Arts before or at the time of drop-off.
“All members are welcome to bring in one entry for exhibit,” added Kirkwood.
Entries can be dropped off at the East End Arts Gallery on Thursday, January 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, January 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday, January 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
