artUNPRIMED – an Online Art Gallery and Consultation Service that showcases emerging and mid-career artists who reside on the East End – will unveil the final show at its pop up space in Sag Harbor on Saturday, March 4th. Entitled Terra, the exhibition will feature photography, painting, pen and ink drawing, and mixed media assemblage works that were influenced by the environment – whether it be local landscapes, Mother Earth, the sea, wildlife or floras.

“The Terra Group Exhibition features the artists of artUNPRIMED.com and their works inspired by nature,” explained artUNPRIMED Founder Casey Dalene.

The exhibition will encompass pieces by Jane Martin, Scott Bluedorn, Mica Marder, Bruce Lieberman, Charles Ly, Dalton Portella, Traute Worschech, Michele Dragonetti, and Will Ryan.

Works from Michele Dragonetti’s Boat Hulls series.

“I’m happy to have three pieces from my Boat Hulls series in the artUNPRIMED Terra art show,” shared Dragonetti. “The three pieces include images taken in Montauk, outside of London, and in the Algarve region of Portugal.”

Although her works were captured both locally and internationally, they share a common continuity. “Despite the disparate sources of the images, they share an earthy color palette (in keeping with the Terra concept of the show) and abundant visual texture while still maintaining a contemporary edge,” added Dragonetti. “As always with this series (and with all of the pieces in my Waterlines solo show at The White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton), I’ve face mounted the images under plexiglass on aluminum for a clean, frameless presentation.”

Terra will premiere with a Lively Artist’s Talk with featured artist Scott Bluedorn and Curator Casey Dalene from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by an Opening Reception from 6 to 8 p.m. The celebratory fête, which is open to all, will include refreshments provided by Greenport Brewery that will feature Scott Bluedorn’s artwork on the labels, Montauk Brewing Company, Indie Wineries and Race Lane Liquors, who will be doing a Wine Tasting.

The pop up is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Terra will remain on view through Sunday, March 19th.

artUNPRIMED’s Pop Up Space is located at 7 Main Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, call 631-905-9782 or visit www.artunprimed.com.

  • Sixty-Something: A Tapestry of Historic Hamlets

The future is always in front and somewhat unknown. We live in the now, but the past is a collection of lessons learned and hopefully preserved to be remembered for pretext and guidance.

The east end is chock full of vibrant history and a wonderful now and, I believe, a promising future. My east end journalistic journey of the last twenty years has awarded me the opportunity to investigate, interview, and get to observe the events, the folks and the ways of life of the east end. I have been able to report from Speonk to Montauk. Read the full article at Hamptons.com (Link in Bio) #hamptons #community #local
