Roman Fine Art is ready to unveil the second edition of its annual holiday group exhibition, Get With the Program 2017. The exhibition will open on Friday, November 10 and remain on view through Sunday, January 28.
The diverse exhibition, which encompasses painting, photography, and mixed media works by nine contemporary artists working in a variety of media and genres, will include many sub-genres within Contemporary Art including street art, figural, conceptual, geometric abstraction, sociopolitical, and landscape. The eclectic nature of this group show is intended to reflect the diverse program regularly offered at Roman Fine Art.

“This year I decided to focus on a tighter group of artists,” explained Gallery Director Damien Roman. “Last year’s Get With the Program was broader, all of my artists were included. I have limited the focus to nine female artists allowing each to shine a bit brighter.”
Participating artists in this exhibition include Maya Hayuk, Elektra KB, Reisha Perlmutter, Leah Schrager, Sarah Slappey, and SWOON.
Get With the Program will also feature the Gallery’s debut of three artists that Roman finds particularly inspiring. “I am very excited to introduce three very talented ladies that are working with Roman Fine Art for the first time,” Roman shared. “They are very promising new talents that you probably have not had the opportunity to discover before: Christina Creutz, Lizzie Gill and Ciara Rafferty.”
With this new show, Roman Fine Art will stay true to its mission by providing exciting, provocative, and relevant new artistic voices to their clientele. The Gallery’s mission is to create an environment in the Hamptons dedicated to supporting the very best in New Contemporary Art. There are several talented and international renowned artists that have exhibited at Roman Fine Art, including Ivan Alifan, Ray Caesar, Colin Christian, Michael Dweck, Ron English, EVOL, Shepard Fairey, Mark Jenkins, Steven Klein, Anthony Lister, RETNA, Swoon and Nicola Verlato.
Artists included in Roman Fine Art exhibitions range from future stars to established forces within the global art community. Many artists have had their work exhibited in important museum and galleries including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, Deitch Projects and the Corcoran Gallery of Art just to name a few.Ā Profiles of these artists and their work have appeared in theĀ New York Times, theĀ Washington Post, theĀ Los Angeles Times,Ā Artnews,Ā Juxtapoz, theĀ New York Daily News,Ā The Observer,Ā High FructoseĀ and many more prestigious publications.

“I’m very eclectic in my tastesā¦really all over the board,” Roman added. “Group exhibitions let me dabble within the broad spectrum of what contemporary art is today. This exhibit includes such diverse talents, I find that very exciting.”
An opening reception for Get With the Program 2017 will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.
