Has the start of spring and thought of summer being mere months away sparked your artistic side?
East End Arts Gallery invites you to enter its upcoming juried, all media art show, Here Comes the Sun, at its Riverhead-based Gallery.
Works, which must be original, can include paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, and sculpture. Artists may enter up to three pieces, which will be reviewed by guest juror Charles Riley II, author, art critic and Director of The Nassau County Museum of Art. Riley will curate the exhibition, selecting works that he believes best encompasses the theme.
“Let your art celebrate the coming of spring and summer (finally!) on the beautiful East End of Long Island—or anyplace sunny and wonderful,” East End Arts Gallery Director Jane Kirkwood noted.
Here Comes the Sun will debut on Friday, April 27 and remain on view through June 8.
Potential works must be submitted at the East End Arts Gallery on Thursday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday, April 21, from 10 am. to 3 p.m.
The East End Arts Gallery is located at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead. For more information, call or visit www.eastendarts.org.
