karyn mannix contemporary has been bringing a dose of Love & Passion to the Hamptons for 17 years now. The annual art exhibition will take place virtually in 2021 – fittingly with the theme of Unmasked.
“What is different this year is the fact that it is digital for safety reasons,” Karyn Mannix, karyn mannix contemporary founder, noted.
Mannix is currently accepting applications for works to be featured in this year’s “Sign of the Times Inspired Art Show.” Love & Passion is open to all art forms, including sculpture, with the exception of video creations. Poets and writers who have a piece that fits on one page may also submit their prose to be considered.
For the 2021 iteration, Mannix hopes to see a few new faces in the mix, and all the talented Love & Passion regulars, of course. “I am looking for more voices to be heard. I would really like to get new artists involved,” she relayed.
The deadline to enter is Sunday, January 31, and Love & Passion: Unmasked will be on display from Monday, February 8 through Sunday, February 28.
“I think with all the isolation, fear and anger that has grown in this country (and world) people have a lot to say and that what this platform is for,” Mannix said. “Not to spew hatred and divide…but to unite. We can all agree…we all need Love & Passion right now. And if we personally don’t we know someone that does.”
Artists may submit up to three works. There is a $35 submission fee for one work, $45 for two works, and $50 for three works. For more information email [email protected] with the subject line of Love & Passion.
