Dave Mason will have you feelin’ alright on Saturday, November 12th at 8 p.m. when Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) presents a one night show featuring one of rock’s greatest icons. Mason, a living legend, is known for being one of the most gifted guitarists and songwriters of our time.
The English born musician has created a stellar career as a solo artist – having recorded nearly two-dozen albums. Mason was an original member of the group Traffic and composed their biggest single hit, Hole In My Shoe.
Some of the biggest names in music history have been touched by Mason’s musical magic, including Jimmy Hendrix’s Ladyland (Mason played 12-string guitar on All Along The Watchtower), Crossroads by Eric Clapton, Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Delaney & Bonnie, Phoebe Snow, Graham Nash, and Paul McCartney, just to name a few!
Mason’s biggest hit was Feelin’ Alright, which he wrote at just 19-years-old. He originally named the song Not Feeling Too Good Myself, but Englishman Joe Cocker changed the title to what we know it as today. This hit song has been recorded nearly fifty times by some of the biggest names in music, including Gladys Knight & the Pips, Jackson 5 and Diana Ross.
Dave Mason’s tour Alone Together Again has been touring the country, coast to coast, and is selling out fast! His performances remind us all over again why he is truly one of the greatest rock legends.
Tickets are $55 to $80.
