The Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts outdoor patio and bar is now open to the public five days a week, Thursday through Monday, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Live music will be performed outdoors by local artists daily and guests will be able to enjoy themselves at separate tables of up to four individuals, which are in safe proximity from other groups, live performers, and bar staff.
“Bay Street’s courtyard has been a gathering place for the theater since it opened its doors in 1991,” Michael Pintauro, Bay Street Marketing Coordinator, noted. “We’ve worked really hard these past weeks to make the space safe for our patrons and artists, and we’re thrilled to be able to invite local musicians to perform live once again in a clean and controlled setting.”
The menu includes snacks and drinks, as well as Bay Street Theater face coverings and water bottles. Drink specials on Bay Street Theater’s patio bar include the Mojo Mojito, a Rosé Spritzer, It’s NOT Just Another Tequila Sunrise (tequila, orange juice, and Grenadine); and the Bay Street Bay Breeze (vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice).
All funds go to support Bay Street Theater, its artists, and staff. The Theater itself remains closed due to COVID-19 government regulations. All lounge areas and surfaces are abundantly cleaned and sterilized before and after all occupations.
“Seating is limited and is first come, first serve, so don’t waste a minute to head down and check out the show!” Pintauro added.
Antonio Sisto will be performing from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2.
In addition to the live music, Bay Street is also presenting its virtual Backstage with Marcia Milgrom Dodge series (Mondays through August 31), virtual Wade’s Writer’s Group (August 3 through October 5), virtual Introduction to The Joys Of Opera II (July 23 through August 27), weekly Summer Camps online and at the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum (through August 31) and Musical Theater Audition with Scott Schwartz at the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum (on Monday, August 10).
