Live music will return to Agawam Park and Coopers Beach in Southampton as part of Southampton Cultural Center’s (SCC) beloved Concerts in the Park Series this July. There will also be a special concert at Good Ground Park in Hampton Bays.
“We are delighted to be able to bring back the Concerts in the Park and to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary,” Kirsten Lonnie, SCC Executive Director, shared. “We look forward to welcoming our patrons to a diverse and entertaining roster of performers and thank our series sponsor Saunders for their support.”
The 2021 iteration will launch on Wednesday, July 7 at Agawam Park with Electric Light Orchestra. The rest of July will bring Southbound Country Band to Coopers Beach on Wednesday, July 14, John Fogarty Tribute Band to Agawam Park on Wednesday, July 21, AdLib Steel Orchestra to Good Ground Park on Thursday, July 22, and Eagle River Band to Agawam Park on Wednesday, July 28. August headliners include The Lone Sharks at Coopers Beach on Wednesday, August 4, Penny Lane Beatles Tribute Band at Agawam Park on Wednesday, August 11, Radio Flashback Band at Agawam Park on Wednesday, August 18, and Mambo Loco at Agawam Park on Wednesday, August 25. SCC’s Concerts in the Park will conclude with Mean Machine at Agawam Park on Wednesday, September 1.
“A new feature this year will be the ‘Plaza on Wheels’ food truck at the Agawam Park concerts,” Lonnie noted.
Concerts will commence at 6:30 p.m. with the exception of AdLib Steel Orchestra at Good Ground Park, which will start at 7:00 p.m.
