Children all about the theatrics can fine tune their acting abilities during Bay Street Theatre’s Kids Spring Vacation Theater Camp. The program starts Tuesday, April 15, and runs through Friday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp is for ages 8 through 12, and the cost is $315 per child for the four days.
Karen Hochstedler and Bethany Dellapolla will lead the program. For Hochstedler, laughter and learning go hand in hand. Over the past 20 years, she has managed to participate in the world of music and theater as well as raise six children alongside her loving husband. The accomplished pianist, singer, actress, photographer, and writer adores collaborating with young people in the creative arts.
Dellapolla will direct improv and acting exercises, and also teach all dance and choreography. She is at the forefront of various theatre camps, productions, and classes throughout Long Island and Manhattan. Her acting resume includes roles in “The Graduate,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” “Cabaret,” “The Laramie Project,” “Company,” “Ruthless!,” “The New World,” and “The Miss Firecracker Contest.”
The number of attendees is limited and advanced sign up is required.
