Tom Clavin and Peter Israelson are presenting a three-part mini TV series, Crazy Horse and Custer, documenting the “never-been-told” story of Custer’s Last Stand, one of the U.S. Army’s bloodiest defeats on American soil. The 1876 Montana massacre is one of the most famous yet least understood of all time, involving America’s first known rock star, George Armstrong Custer, a mystic ghostlike spirit and the Indian rebellion.
On Thursday, September 4, the eve of the anniversary of Crazy Horse’s death, East End residents will be treated to a sneak preview of the series, where they will get the first glimpse of what really happened on June 25, 1876, by the Little Bighorn River. The sneak peak will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton, and reservations are recommended.
