Bay Street And Sag Harbor American Music Festival Celebrates The Best Of American Music

In celebration of the upcoming 3rd Annual Sag Harbor American Music Festival, Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts and the Sag Harbor American Musical Festival are holding Legends of American Music on Friday, September 19, 2014.

Joe Lauro from Historic Films is hosting the screening, which will feature rare clips from “Best of the Best.” The Legends of American Music series commemorates the range and passion that is American music by bringing unforgettable concerts from legends like Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Etta James, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, B.B. King, Benny Goodman, Sam Cooke, Staple Singers, Bill Monroe, Willie Nelson, Billie Holiday, and Louis Armstrong to the bring screen. The performances are culled from one of the world’s largest archives of music on film, the Historic Films Archive.

“Best of the Best” at Bay Street Theater will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
