The Neo-Political Cowgirls, an East Hampton-based dance and theater group, are taking their groundbreaking production of “Voyeur” to Berlin. The performance, which focuses on a theme of women and fertility, debuted last summer in East Hampton and will make its European debut from Thursday, July 30th through Sunday, August 2nd.

“The Neo -Political Cowgirls are thrilled to make their European debut in BERLIN, the current hub and global destination for ground breaking art and theater,” said Kate Mueth. “The pulse and energy of the theater scene in BERLIN is a perfect fit for NPC and we feel very lucky to have been invited.”
Under the direction of founder, Kate Mueth, the Neo-Political Cowgirls have found success in telling women’s stories through theater and dance. Their work is edgy and energizing, allowing the female voice to be heard and audience members to feel connected to the dancers and their cause.
“That fact that we, with an international cast, get to explore with the Berliner audiences these themes of fertility of mind, body, creativity and womanly hunger is just so exciting and satisfying as theater artists,” said Mueth. “There is a certain thirst for new work in Berlin that is very alluring to a NY troupe. The ‘rules’ are a bit different there and what is getting money thrown at it here is very different from what they desire and ask for there. The sense of what can be done and the feeling of support there is pretty wild and wonderful.”
Following the “Voyeur” Berlin performances, the group will return in the fall for an off-Broadway production of “Eve,” which will make its New York City debut in September.
