They say laughter is the best medicine, so get ready to crack up because you’ve got four chances to fend off any “ailments” with humor.
The first is Bay Street Theater’s All Star Comedy Show (1 Bay Street, 631-725-9500, www.baystreet.org) on Friday, April 1st at 8 p.m. Once again Joseph Vecsey (Optimum’s The UnMovers, The Call Back Podcast) will return to host the hilarious affair that includes stand up by Nore Davis (Comedy Central, Inside Amy Schumer), Neko White (MTV) and Kase Raso (Comedy Clubs and Colleges). Tickets are $20.
The East Quogue Fire Department (465 Montauk Highway, East Quogue, 631-653-5101, www.eqfiredepartment.org) is presenting their 5th annual Comedy Night fundraiser on Saturday, April 2nd. The evening will include dinner, refreshments, and lots of laughs. The show, which “keeps getting better and better,” will evoke a range of feelings. “I laughed, I cried… I had all the emotions,” said one audience member. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40.

Join the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation (www.montaukplayhouse.org) for a night of comedy at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk). Jessica Kirson (The Tonight Show, The View, and Last Comic Standing) will headline the show and Jeff Nichols will serve as the evening’s emcee. But the entertainment doesn’t stop there, attendees are in for a treat when the special surprise guest makes an appearance. Tickets are $40 and proceeds will support the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation.
And if you didn’t get your share of East End hilarity, Kent Animal Shelter (631-727-5731, www.kentanimalshelter.com) is hosting An Evening of Comedy on Friday, April 8th. From 7 to 11 p.m., Kent will be “putting the funny in fundraiser” at Hotel Indigo (1830 West Main Street, Riverhead) as MC John Larocchia takes the stage. Proceeds from the event will benefit the homeless pets at the Kent Animal Shelter and Laughter Saves Lives, a nonprofit for first responder families in need. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
