The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) is proud to present Alan Cumming live on Saturday, July 9th at 8 p.m. The multi-gifted, Scottish stage and film actor, director and singer will surely captivate audiences with his unique style of humor and voice.
“Once in a while it’s good to challenge yourself in a way that is daunting,” said Cumming.
His show, Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs, is a must-see this summer. Cumming has earned a Tony Award for his performance as the Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret, and a Gracie and an Oliver Award, as well.
The actor’s theatrics has been recognized at the Golden Globes, Cannes Film Festival and dozens more. He has been nominated for awards a total of 23 times and has claimed nine. Cumming’s successes can be attributed to his sincere love and passion for his career and a genuine consideration for audiences.
A few of his film credits include Golden Eye, X2: X-Men United and the Spy Kids Trilogy. He can also be seen on PBS, introducing the well-known Master Piece Theatre.
Cumming has traveled the globe and been well-received everywhere, including a sold out performance at Carnegie Hall. Fans, critics, and audiences alike simply cannot get enough of the actor and his many talents.
Lance Horne will be joining Cumming on his Sappy Songs tour. Horne is a long-time Musical Director and Emmy Award winning composer and keyboardist. The talent that will be on the stage that night is undeniable.
Additionally, cellist Eleanor Norton will join Cumming and Horne for the performance. Her musical credits include playing with Beyonce, Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Adele, and many other notable names.
“Here at the PAC our goal is to always elate, entertain, and inform our audience,” said Erin Young, Assistant to the Executive Director of the WHBPAC. “Our lineup is handpicked to do just that every time you take a seat in our theater.”
