“Center Stage Sings: Fantastick Promises” Commemorates Local Theatre Troupe’s 10th Season

After ten glorious years, Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center is celebrating its milestone anniversary season with three performances of Center Stage Sings: Fantastick Promises. From Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10, sit back and enjoy as Center Stage takes you down memory lane with a review of 14 Center Stage musicals presented from 2007 to date.

“14 musicals in ten years – it’s been quite the musical journey!” shared Center Stage Director Michael Disher. “So many composers, performers, musicians – and music.”

So how is the beloved local theatre troupe celebrating its 10th season? By bringing the East End community another amazing, unmissable show, of course. The trio of benefit performances will showcase songs from Cabaret, A Chorus Line, South Pacific, Promises, Promises, Company, The Fantasticks and so many other Center Stage favorites.

Center Stage Sings: Fantastick Promises will feature Isabel Alvarez, Bethany Dellapolla, Sue Conklin, Brett Chizever, Tom Rosante, Brianna Kinnier, Daniel Becker, Kimet Speed, Shannon DuPuis, Christine Martinez, Christina Stankewicz, Mary Ellen Roche, Mary Sabo, Joey Giovingo, Adam Fronc, Julie Crowley and Darren Ottati, with Amanda Jones directing musically.

“I am hoping this ‘review’ reminds people of what an important part of us musicals are – and will always be,” added Disher. “I guess one might call this ‘our evening of greatest hits.'”

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $45 for ringside table seats. Light refreshments and beverages will be served at intermission.
