On Friday, January 19 at 8 p.m., Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor is presenting yet another “All Star Stand Up Comedy” event. Curated by comedian Joseph Vecsey, this iteration will feature Sam Rubinoff, Greg Stone, and Mark DeMayo.
“The audience can expect a great show with variety from start to finish. Sounds cliche but we always have strong comics,” said Vecsey. “Every show the audience walks away excited and appreciative that we are bringing New York City comics who hit the best clubs across the country out to Bay Street.”
Vecsey is part of Optimum’s The Un-Movers team and was in Adam Sandler’s 2017 film, Sandy Wexler. He worked as a production assistant on another Sandler project, Grown Ups 2, and has two movies being released this year: The Week Of – which also stars Sandler and Graduate, which stars David Spade. Additionally, his standup was featured in an episode of Comedy Central’s series, Comics to Watch.
Rubinoff is a writer and comic based in New York City. He performs regularly in the City and has previously performed at the New York Comedy Festival and the Hoboken Comedy Festival. His other work includes a weekly web series, Sam’s Mourning News, and writing for AOL’s Truth About Today, a history web series with a comedic spin.
Stone is a comedian who recently performed on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, TruTV’s Friends of the People, and AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. He is featured on Sirius/XM Radio’s The Bennington Show podcast, and according to his official bio, one need only ask politely for him to share his story of “the time he drunkenly jumped on stage with Michael Bolton.”
Finally, there is DeMayo who is also a part of the Optimum The Un-Movers team. He is a comedian, writer, actor (and former police officer) who has performed with Gotham Live and appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, MTV, Spike TV, and CBS.
Tickets for the show are $30 in advance and $40 on the day of the event.
