Annual New Year’s Laughin’ Eve Comedy Spectaculars To Take Over Four Long Island Venues

The Long Island Comedy Festival is once again letting comedy fans laugh their way into the New Year by presenting the 12th annual New Year’s Laughin’ Eve Comedy Showcases.

“We’re thrilled that our New Year’s Eve shows have become so popular across Long Island,” Long Island comedian and Executive Producer of the Long Island Comedy Festival, Paul Anthony, said.

The 2019 New Year’s Eve specials will span four theaters. “This is our second year of presenting six BIG shows all across Long Island,” Anthony noted. “That’s a record that we’re very proud of! The truth is, people WANT to laugh more, and our shows help them do just that! Research shows that laughter has many health benefits.”

On the East End, the New Year’s Laughin’ Eve Comedy Showcase will return to the Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead). The Special Laugh, Dine & Dance edition will feature Dennis Rooney (straight from the Long Island Comedy Festival), Scott Schendlinger (Caroline’s NYC, New York Comedy Scene) and Carie Karavas (AC, Vegas, Kevin Can Wait, National headliner). After the headliners, attendees will enjoy music from DJ Phil, a live broadcast of the ball-drop on a gigantic full-stage projection screen, and a champagne toast.

“Our goal is to bring more laughter and fun to Long Islanders! As always, for our New Year’s Eve shows we’re bringing out our most requested comedians that our fans have seen as part of our Summer Comedy Festival Tour,” he noted. “These are all pros! These are some of the strongest comic line-ups we’ve ever presented on any stage!”

Additional shows will take place at CM Performing Arts Center (931 Montauk Highway, Oakdale), featuring Stevie G.B. (“World’s Funniest Accountant”; Long Island Comedy Festival), Art Schill (The Octogenarian Comedian; 50+ Comedy Tour), and Paul Bond (Rock & Roll Comedy Show; Catskills, Foxwoods, National headliner), The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon) featuring Rich Walker (Foxwoods, AC, National headliner), Maria Walsh (“America’s Naughtiest Mommy”), and Rob Falcone (HBO, Showtime, Vegas, National headliner), and Theatre Three (412 Main Street, Port Jefferson), featuring Paul Anthony (Host of the Long Island Comedy Festival & 50+ Comedy Tour), Sherry Davey (NickMom; NYC Comedy Scene; National headliner), Eric Haft (AC, Foxwoods, National headliner), and Mick Thomas (Comedy Central, Showtime, AC, Vegas, National headliner).

“There is literally no better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than to LAUGH in the New Year at one of these performances. And we love to promote the fact that our shows are all early!” Anthony shared. “So people can still go to dinner, parties, or go home and watch the ball drop. Personally I like to go to bed after the shows, but the choice is yours!”

Both The Argyle Theatre and Theatre Three will offer an early bird show at 6 p.m. and prime time show at 8 p.m., while the laughs at Suffolk Theater and CM Performing Arts Center will commence at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $42 to $65, depending upon the venue.
