The Bridgehampton Museum will be hosting a talk with Geoff Gehman in honor of the release of his memoir, “The Kingdom of the Kid,” about growing up on the East End, circa 1967-1972. Throughout this memoir, Gehman touches on several Hamptons subjects like the Bridgehampton Race Circuit and the Georgica Association.
Readers can expect a in-depth look into the life of Gehman as he tries to navigate through the best and worst of times. The memoir has been described as “a Baby Boomer coming-of-age tale about the beach, baseball, drive-in movies, rock ‘n’ roll, fast cars, faster women, alcoholism, divorce, suicide and redemption.”
The talk will take place at the Corwith House Museum in downtown Bridgehampton, on Sunday, July 14, at 2p.m. Admission is free and refreshments from local artisanal tea boutique Plain-T will be provided.
The Bridgehampton Museum is located at 2368 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton. For more information visit www.bhmuseum.org.
