Joan Bennett Lyons, an esteemed member of the Center Stage committee at the Southampton Arts Center, shares her passion for Tennessee Williams’s work. Drawing parallels between Williams and John Steinbeck, she notes the shared darkness in their characters, a theme she is eager to explore.
With a rich background as a theatrical director for Center Stage and the founder of a local theater company in the early 2000s, Joan has been a driving force in producing, directing, choreographing, and performing in various productions. Her extensive repertoire includes musical revues, concerts, dance showcases, plays, musicals, and original productions on the East End over the last several decades.
The cast, featuring Tamara Froebel Salkin as Amanda, Zianya Quiroz Kane as Laura, Vincenzo Harty as Tom, Kieran Conlon as Jim, and Kristin Whiting as the host, promises a stellar performance.
