Goldbergs recently opened a new location off the Sag Harbor Turnpike where the old Bay Burger used to be. Known for its delicious sandwiches, bagels, and friendly service, I am excited to add it to my lunch mix during the work week.
You can tell that the management here really wants to make this location work.
The new place also feels sort of like the old Bay Burger because the building is so iconic, but Goldberg’s is a class act, the new location is COMPLETELY spotless. You can see the kitchen behind the counter, and not a single thing was out of place and not a single sesame seed was on the floor.
They have all the classic sandwiches and dishes that have made Goldbergs a household name out here, as well as a few new and unique options, such as serving potato salad with every dish you order. It’s not like your typical Goldbergs where you sort of feel like you want to just get your food and leave.
This new spot has plenty of places to sit down, relax and take it easy. The setup doesn’t have a waiter, so you just get your food and sit down, but if your order takes a while and it’s not busy, they will bring it over to you. The menu includes a variety of deli sandwiches, such as pastrami, corned beef, and roast beef, as well as burgers, hot dogs, and other classic American fares.
You can’t miss at Goldberg’s, everybody likes a solid deli, the kind of place that seems to close every year and is replaced by expensive coffee. But not Goldbergs, it remains strong.
The Sag Harbor location also boasts a spacious outdoor seating area, allowing customers to enjoy their meals while taking in the beautiful views of the town. The patio is perfect for warm weather, and it’s a great spot to people-watch while you enjoy your meal.
You know what’s great about the new location? The parking! Talk about a large parking lot, you will never be in a position where you can’t find parking here.
Goldberg’s new spot on the Sag Harbor Turnpike is a great addition to the Hamptons dining scene. It’s so easy and it’s so comfortable to go there. It’s a great spot to get lunch or breakfast at a reasonable price but to also really enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere that the building that they are now occupying always seems to provide.
