Continuing his Soho Sessions residency, grammy-nominated singer/guitarist Marcus King will return to the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett for a special performance on August 21, 2024. As a premier music-driven community, The Soho Sessions is well-known for curating unforgettable live music experiences in New York City and the Hamptons.
More than a good time, it’s for a great cause in support of God’s Love We Deliver, a distinguished charity dedicated to providing nutritious, medically tailored meals to individuals too sick to shop or cook for themselves.
Tickets are on sale now and are an amazing way to support a meaningful cause and experience the music of a Grammy-nominated artist, Marcus King.
God’s Love We Deliver, a vitally crucial NYC-based charity, is ready to “rock out and sing in support of our unwavering mission,” according to David Ludwigson, President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver. The charity is doing the lord’s work (sorry for the pun); they really are an amazing and vital part of the NYC community. “Demand for our meal service is growing, and this year, we plan to hit an all-time record of 5 million medically tailored meals,” said Ludwigson.
The Soho Sessions has a special relationship with the Hamptons and the Stephen Talkhouse. Typically held in Soho, The Soho Sessions continue to shine as Marcus King returns to the Hamptons for a special performance in support of God’s Love We Deliver.
After seeing the show last year, I can tell you firsthand that Marcus brings an earnest approach to songwriting and virtuoso guitar skills. He has won fans all around the world (myself included) and has garnered considerable critical acclaim from NPR, American Songwriter, and Rolling Stone. Blending rock, soul, blues, and Americana, King is a dynamic and electric performer.
God’s Love We Deliver is not affiliated with any religious organization and has an unwavering commitment to serving those with severe medical issues. Last year, the organization delivered 4.3 million medically tailed meals – a remarkable milestone they are on track to exceed, having delivered 25% more meals this year.
The Soho Sessions is produced by RWE Partners, who are all-in on the power of music to foster unique connections and curate experiences that benefit the greater good. Co-founded by a top New York City real estate broker, Greg Williamson and global events producer Nicole Rechter, RWE Partners aims to raise awareness and support for the vital causes they represent.
Like Williamson, who has spent countless summers in the Hamptons (shoutout Hand Lane!), the NYC-East End Connection is strong. He notes, “Many of God’s Love’s supporters are New York-based and have homes on the East End, making this event even more meaningful,” Williamson continued. “Given the life-saving work God’s Love does every year, we knew this beneficiary made perfect sense for The Soho Sessions.”
Williamson continues, “Having spent most of my life coming out to the Hamptons, Stephen Talkhouse has always been a cornerstone of my Amagansett experience. It’s been an honor over the past few years to take The Soho Sessions on the road and bring it to this iconic venue. We love presenting shows at such a storied venue and working with the incredible team there. It’s always a joy to work with Marcus, whom we first joined forces with for Love Rocks NYC back in 2017. And we’re incredibly proud to put this concert on in support of God’s Love We Deliver, which is a lifeline for so many people. Bringing it all together in a place that feels like home, with a cause that truly matters, makes this show super special.“
Fundraising is what makes their work possible, and the Soho Sessions are an amazing way for the charity to celebrate their supporters and help get the word out. “Nights like these, surrounded by our community of supporters, new friends, music, and passion, help raise critical funds to help nourish New Yorkers living with a life-altering illness.” Mr. Ludwigson continued. “We are so grateful to longtime friends Nicole Rechter and Greg Williamson, Marcus King, The Soho Sessions, and Stephen Talkhouse for this memorable night.”
