Just in time for summer, renowned DJ and Hamptonite Pamela Tick has teamed up with Riley Versa for a highly functional and chic water bottle bag. Check out what Tick and the brand’s founder and CEO Melissa Gottesman have to say about their latest collaboration.
Melissa, how did the collaboration with Riley Versa and Pamela Tick come about?
Melissa Gottesman: This is actually Round 2 for us! Our first collaboration was an AirPods case, and we had such a blast creating it together that doing something again felt like a no-brainer. Pamela has this amazing mix of style and substance, and we just click.
How did you two meet?
Gottesman: The way all great love stories start, through a mutual friend.
Why is this perfect for the Hamptons?
Pamela Tick: This 2-in-1 performance bag is where luxury meets function—modern yet timeless, cool without trying. It’s designed to move with you, from sandy beach mornings to rosé-fueled afternoons at the farmstand. The mix of luxe vegan leather and performance nylon makes it effortlessly stylish and surprisingly durable. It’s understated, practical, and polished.
Pamela, what was it like collaborating on this limited-edition bag?
Tick: At the time, I was three months pregnant with my second baby, and Melissa and I were already in talks about designing our next product together. We tossed around all sorts of ideas, but nothing quite clicked. Then we stopped brainstorming and just started chatting. She asked how I was feeling, and I mentioned I’d been dealing with migraines. She asked, “Are you drinking enough water?” I said, “Not the way I should.” She said, “Same.” Lightbulb moment!
We know that you’re always on the go. How does this bag fit the mom lifestyle?
Tick: It was made for it. As a mom, you’re juggling water bottles, baby bottles, your phone, lip balm, snacks. This bag lets you do exactly that. It’s hands-free, fuss-free, and fits the essentials without weighing you down. Whether I’m heading to a playdate, a DJ gig, or just out for a walk with my girls, this bag comes with—and keeps up.
Melissa, how has your brand evolved since you started?
Gottesman: Initially, it was a solo venture, but over time I realized the part I loved most was collaborating. So I leaned into that, and now every new product is rooted in partnership. It’s more fun, dynamic, and leads to more unique pieces for our clients.
Pamela, if you could pick one song to describe this bag what would it be?
Tick: “Around the World” by Daft Punk. Minimal lyrics, maximum impact, like the bag. You can literally take it anywhere, and it never feels out of place.
Where can readers shop the Bottle Bag?
Gottesman: At rileyversa.com. We’re also hosting some pop-ups in the Hamptons this summer, so stay tuned on IG—@pamelatick and @rileyversa—for the details!
