When it comes to vineyards on the East End, the North Fork is the ultimate wine country with boundless acres upon acres dedicated to growing grapes for wine, and more than 60 wineries. It’s where many Long Island locals and visitors alike enjoy heading out for a day of wine tasting as they take in the countryside landscape and serene views. But, although the North Fork may have a much greater quantity, highly esteemed vineyards aren’t exclusive to this part of the East End. The South Fork has carved out a place of its own in wine country with three beautiful wineries and equally high-quality, even award-winning, wine that are worth a visit. Plus, these three locations have arguably some of the best picturesque scenery when it comes to Long Island vineyards!
