
The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS), the classical training ground on the East End, celebrating 15 years of dance education, is excited to present their new production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless ballet Sleeping Beauty. The ballet will premiere on Friday, April 29 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bridgehampton School Theater, 2685 Montauk Highway, Bridgehampton, New York.
Advance ticket prices range from $20-$35 and day of performance ticket prices range from $25-$40, depending on the designated section. Premium and orchestra seats are available at rates for both children (under 12 years of age) and adults. Group rates for all performances are available for groups consisting of 10 or more people.
The ballet is choreographed by the director of HBTS, Sara Jo Strickland, and features beautiful costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera, Kate McManus, and Sara Jo Strickland and lighting design by Sebastian Paczynski. HBTS Apprentice Holiday Bovio will be featured along with our Pro Student Level 8 advanced dancers Corrina Castillo, Lauren Halsey, Marrina Jacka, Anna Kastrati, and Sedona Silvera, who all will be dancing their final performance at HBTS and will all dance featured roles with special guest artists James Monroe Števko, Nick Peregrino, and Justin Estelle from New York City. Resident guest artist Vincenzo James Harty will be joining the cast, as well.
Sharing the role of Princess Aurora will be Holiday Bovio and senior Corrina Castillo partnered by guest artist James Monroe Števko, as Prince D sir . The Lilac Fairy will be danced by seniors Marrina Jacka and Sedona Silvera. Princess Florine will be shared by seniors Lauren Halsey and Anna Kastrati partnered by guest artist Justin Estelle, as The Bluebird. Upcoming seniors Lua Li, Uma Nolan, Molly Radice, and Sadie Radice will be featured in the roles of the Fairies. Resident guest artist Rose Kelly will be returning to stage as the evil fairy Carabosse.
Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s Sleeping Beauty ballet will enchant those of all ages, as the students of HBTS transport the audience to a magical story of good versus evil ending with true love conquering the sleeping curse of one hundred years. Do not miss this extraordinary event!
