On Saturday and Sunday, February 25th and 26th, the Southampton Animal Shelter in Hampton Bays hosted their annual Spay-ghetti fundraiser, a benefit for their Advo-Cats TNR (trap/neuter/release) program. The event included an in-person raffle, as well as a huge high end online auction on their Facebook page.
A $40 donation entitled the donor to a spaghetti dinner at Uncle Joe’s Pizza + Restaurant in Hampton Bays, plus two raffle tickets. Ticket holders were also treated to a delectable (and adorable) cupcake from Cathy’s Cupcakes.
Nicole Tumilowicz, Marketing Director for the Southampton Animal Shelter, told Hamptons.com “Our annual Spay-ghetti Fundraiser was a huge success and raised much needed funds to support our Advo-Cats program in controlling the feral cat population in our community. Over 300 people came to the shelter this past weekend, and one person went home with a cat that they fell in love with!”
Next up for the Shelter is the Southampton Animal Shelter Invitational, a charity golf tournament held at Sebonack Golf Club. The event is Tuesday, May 16, details can be found at sasf.org or call 631-728-7387 ext 235.
The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is one of the leading “No-Kill” animal shelters on Long Island and serves the entire township of Southampton. For more information visit their website, sasf.org, or call them at (631)728-7387. My family found our cat, Baby, and our much loved and still missed late dog, Dallas at the Shelter.
