The Choral Society of the Hamptons is excited to present its annual spring concert at 5:30pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Bay Street Theater. This will be the first full-length performance the chorus has given in this venue, a fitting choice for the theatrical repertoire to be performed.
The often humorous, sometimes poignant, always thought-provoking program features Samuel Barber’s Sure on This Shining Night, Randall Thompson’s Americana, Eric Whitacre’s Animal Crackers Vol. I & II, selections from Irving Fine’s Alice in Wonderland, as well as Gilbert & Sullivan selections.
In addition to its own members, the Choral Society will be joined by soloists Barbara Fusco-Spera and Dominic Inferrera and accompanied by pianists Christine Cadarette and Jonathan Howe. Guest conductor David M. Brandenburg shares, “I’m very excited about the program. The music is funny and clever, but also has some poignant moments. And it’s dramatic! Many of the pieces are from theatrical productions or easily could have been.”
Tickets are $35. Preferred seating tickets are $75 and discounted tickets for students ($10) are also available. To purchase, visit www.choralsocietyofthehamptons.org
