The Latch Pop-Up Inn, a new and unique boutique lodging, is opening just in time for the start of the Hamptons season.
In 2016, The Beechwood Organization, Long Island’s largest home builder and developer of Bishops Pond Southampton Village, purchased the historical Village Latch Inn Hotel. After revamping the beloved family run inn that welcomed several impressive guests, including Vice President Joe Biden, who stayed there when he was senator, former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, former Vice President Al Gore, actress Sarah Jessica Parker, actor Michael J. Fox, actress Kate Hudson, actress Anne Hathaway and actor Bill Murray, The Beechwood Organization is launching The Latch Pop-Up Inn, which will be available for bookings starting Memorial Day weekend.
“We’re a pop-up in that we’re new, up and running fast and in a prime location,” explained owner Steven Dubb, principal, The Beechwood Organization.
Located in the heart of Southampton Village, the property originally served as the Grand Annex to Southampton’s Irving Hotel in the early 1900s. Situated on five picturesque acres, The Latch Pop-Up Inn offers a serene, private retreat that is conveniently just a quick walk away from all that the Village has to offer.
“We want our guests to enjoy their Hamptons experience with fresh accommodations at refreshing prices. They can wake up to birds singing, be a five-minute walk to the Village or a five-minute ride to the beach,” said Dubb. “They will have a freshly decorated room with new bed and furnishings, flat screen TV and WIFI, and a nearby cup of morning coffee. All for as little as a couple of hundred dollars a night.”
While it’s not over-the-top lavish, visitors will find everything they could possibly need during a getaway, including 20 newly refurbished accommodations, from cabana-style rooms to home-style guest rooms.
“We’re excited to keep this property active as an inn for this season,” adds Dubb. “People know us as a residential builder but we are in the hospitality space too.”
Guest rooms with private bathrooms are $125 to $300 per night on weekdays and $175 to $650 per night on weekends with premium pricing on holidays. Cabana-style guest rooms with queen-size beds, some also with futons, and traditional en-suite guest rooms with choice of twin, queen or king-size beds are also available.
The Latch Pop-Up Inn is located at 101 Hill Street in Southampton. For more information, call 800-754-8926 or visit www.latchpopup.com.
