It’s about to get far-out in the Hamptons when Geralyne Lewandowski presents her annual Art Groove, a unique mix of music, performance and visual art that results in a spectacular modern social experience for attendees. The two day event will return to Ashawagh Hall on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16.

“This year Art Groove will prove to be BETTER than ever,” shared Lewandowski. “There was actually a waiting list for artists to participate!”
The Seventh Annual Art Groove will showcase works by 14 contemporary artists, including the debut of paintings by world renowned sculptor Hans Van de Bovenkamp. In addition to Van de Bovenkamp, Barbara Bilotta, Nadine Daskaloff, Anahi DeCanio, Gerry Gilberti, Dan Gonzales & Raun Norquist, Frank Latorre, Geralyne Lewandowski, Joyce Riamondo, Cynthia Sobel, Ursula Thomas, Charles Waller, and Lewis Zacks will have works on display.
“I have been part of Art Groove for several years now,” explained DeCanio. “It is more than an exhibit, it’s an art experience. It’s eclectic, fun and well attended, usually ending with dancing and supportive engagement between artists and visitors.”
As per usual, the electric yearly happening will include a lively opening reception. “This year, we will have two bands on opening night, and two motion graphic videos,” said Lewandowski. “And of course followed by our great dance party.”

New indie rock group, #9 featuring John Jinks on guitar, will get the party started with live music, followed by The King Bees featuring Frank Latorre, a Grammy nominated, rhythm and blues rock band, and DJ G-Funk’s hot dance mix will keep partygoers dancing all night until the celebratory fête is over.

Reboot and Redress, a projection mapped motion graphics video by John Jinks, will be projected on the outside of Ashawagh Hall at dusk during the opening.
This year’s event has been so well received Lewandowski is already thinking about the 2018 experience. “Next year we may have to do it over two weekends,” she noted. “Last year almost 300 people showed up!”
The community collaboration is open to all.
“So please join me at Ashawagh Hall on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 to get GROOVY,” Lewandowski added.
The Opening Reception for the Seventh Annual Art Groove will take place on Saturday April 15 from 6 to 11 p.m. Art Groove will be on display Saturday, April 15 from 12 to 11 p.m. and Sunday, April 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
