If you blinked while driving down Main Street in East Hampton this week, you might have missed it. Tucked behind a white-shingled cottage draped in ivy at The Maidstone Hotel, Stuart Weitzman quietly opened its first-ever Hamptons summer shopping installation, and it is exactly the kind of discovery that makes a summer out here feel special.

Full disclosure: I have been a Stuart Weitzman loyalist for years. They are one of those rare brands that figured out how to make a shoe that is genuinely fashionable and genuinely comfortable at the same time, which, if you have ever limped home from a summer party in the wrong pair of sandals, you know is no small thing. So when they invited me to their opening in East Hampton, I went immediately.
The pop-up, called Exotic Escape, officially opened June 19th and runs through July 31st. Walking up to it, you almost forget you’re shopping. The exterior looks like something out of a storybook, a little garden cottage with lavender and climbing vines framing the door, a wooden Stuart Weitzman New York sign the only hint that shoes are waiting inside.

The interior is dreamy in that effortless Hamptons way, all stone floors, walnut shelving, woven baskets, and a round travertine table at the center holding the season’s standout styles. The walls are wallpapered in a soft watercolor seascape that practically puts you in a beach state of mind before you’ve even picked anything up.

The edit is tight. Think animal print done right, crocodile, leopard, zebra, alongside wedges and platforms that actually make sense for navigating a summer weekend. There are sexy sandals, elevated flats, a handful of men’s styles, and a small selection of sunglasses. It’s the kind of curation where you want pretty much everything on the shelf. The Maidstone itself has been something of a revelation since LDV Hospitality reimagined it in 2024, and Stuart Weitzman found exactly the right partner for this moment.

The shop is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm. Go early, linger, and donโt forget your credit card.
