Andy Warhol’s Former Hamptons Haven Fetches $50 Million

Well, it’s official. Andy Warhol’s former Montauk haven is off the market again. The oceanfront Hamptons oasis was purchased for $50 million by billionaire financier and art collector Adam Lindemann, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Warhol scooped up Eothen, which was originally built as a fishing camp for the Churchs, the family behind Arm & Hammer baking soda, during the ’70s. While living in the Hamptons, the famed photographed welcomed the likes of Mick Jagger, Jackie O., Liz Taylor, John Lennon, and many other notable names.

The seller is J. Crew Group CEO Mickey Drexler, who bought the 30-acre estate in 2007. The seaside property included 24 acres of horse pasture, accompanied by a 29-stall barn. The main living area is located on 5.7-acres and showcases nine bedrooms and 11.5 bath. Lindemann reportedly chose not to purchase the horse farm, which is still on the market.
