“SoFo is committed to giving back to the East End community,” expressed Frank Quevedo, South Fork Natural History Museum’s Executive Director. “And we can’t think of a better way to honor our families than by helping ensure that all children enjoy this special holiday season.”
This year, South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SoFo), the only state-of-the-art natural history museum on the South Fork, is getting into the holiday spirit by hosting its first annual Holiday Toy Drive. Starting Friday, December 1st, through Friday, December 19th, SoFo is asking East End residents to help local families in need by donating new and gently-used, unwrapped toys for children from infant age through early teens.
“We invite everyone who can to join us in our Holiday Toy Drive,” said Diana Aceti, the Museum’s new Director of Development. “We thank all of our donors for helping SoFo brighten the holidays of children in our community.”
The donations will be distributed during the holiday season by three Bridgehampton organizations, The First Church of God in Christ, The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, and the First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton. “We are delighted to work with our neighbors, The First Church of God in Christ, The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, and the First Baptist Church of Bridgehampton, on this important project,” noted Quevedo.
Gifts can be dropped off at SoFo’s Bridgehampton Center.
