On Saturday, December 9, you can marvel at the magic of the holiday season with the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce by exploring some of the East End’s most beautiful gems, which will be fully decked out for the holidays, when the Chamber presents the annual East Hampton B & B and Historical Places Tour.
“We hope locals and visitors will come tour our world class B & B’s and Inns of East Hampton,” shared Chamber Executive Director, Steve Ringel. “Doors open to the public at 12 p.m. and there’ll be fires in the fireplace, refreshments and Christmas decorations galore.” And, if you’re not sold yet, the admission fee (or lack of) will have you marking your calendar. “It’s free!” Ringel explained.

This year’s tour will feature beloved locales that span from Water Mill to Amagansett, including Guild Hall (158 Main Street, East Hampton), The Clinton Academy (101 Main Street, East Hampton), Ladies Village Improvement Society (95 Main Street, East Hampton), East Hampton Library (159 Main Street, East Hampton), The Pollock-Krasner House (803 Springs Fireplace Road, Springs), BookHampton (41 Main Street, East Hampton), Ashawagh Hall (708 Springs Fireplace Road, Springs), The Huntting Inn at The Palm (94 Main Street, East Hampton), The Baker House 1650 (181 Main Street, East Hampton), The Maidstone (207 Main Street, East Hampton), The 1770 House (143 Main Street, East Hampton), The Mill House Inn (31 Main Street, East Hampton), White Fence Inn (371 Montauk Highway, Water Mill), 434 on Main (434 Main Street, Amagansett), The Art House (9 Bon Pinck Way, Springs), Bridgehampton Inn (2266 Main Street, Bridgehampton), and Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton).
“We’re very happy to take part again in this annual Village holiday tradition,” shared Dennis Fabiszak, Director of the East Hampton Library. “We invite people to come in for some light refreshments and to view the Library’s holiday décor, which will have a nautical theme this year.”
Participants can check in at The Baker House 1650, where they’ll receive a map. Participating sites will welcome tourgoers until 4 p.m.

Whether you plan on visiting a few of your favorite local spots or discovering a new destination, you’ll be met with boundless festive cheer, and maybe even a sensational sweet or two. “Stop by Guild Hall to view the exhibitions and enjoy holiday cookies!” encourages Barbara-Jo Howard, Director of Marketing & Communications at Guild Hall.
For many participants, this jubilant event offers a unique way to celebrate the area and merriment of this time of the year. “Every year The 1770 House opens its doors to share the warmth, charm and history of the Inn, along with fabulous cookies,” explained The 1770 House Innkeeper Randye Lordon. “There is no question that winter seems to bring to the fore the feel of old East Hampton. There is no better way to embrace it than a visit to the many inns that were once private homes.”
