"My film traces the evolution of Chuck Close as an artist and the course his work has taken in becoming art," said Marion Cajori.
The great American playwright and author of "Death of a Salesman," always had a special place in his heart for the East End, mostly because it was in Amagansett that he spent two summers with Marilyn Monroe.
Live readings of the iconic Herman Melville novel will be held at various locations throughout Sag Harbor Village.
Written by Susan Pashman, a Sag Harbor resident, "Upper West Side Story" was inspired by real-life conversations about the educational divide.
The afternoon will include works by Brahms, Dvorak, Elgar, Mendelssohn and Schumann, including Schumann's Piano Quintet with violinist Itzhak Perlman.
Altman's Art will include a screening of "Gosford Park," a discussion of Altman's work and a talkback hosted by Bob Balaban, who will be accompanied by Guilia D'Agnolo Vallan and Kathryn Altman.
"That fact that we, with an international cast, get to explore with the Berliner audiences these themes of fertility of mind, body, creativity and womanly hunger is just so exciting and satisfying as theater artists," said Kate Mueth.
Renowned as a session "guitar man of the stars," a solo performer and a bandleader of genre-breaking outfits, multi-string instrumentalist virtuoso David Bromberg will grace the intimate Westhampton Beach theater backed by his stellar quintet.
"The East End has long celebrated the changing of seasons with contra dancing in barns," noted Amy Kirwin and Andrea Grover.
"My challenge in 'Play for Me' was capturing - in words -- the way music sounds, and exploring the deep emotion it evokes," noted author Céline Keating.
