“Mother (and me),” a performance detailing the struggle of two women dealing with middle age and dementia, will premiere on Monday, June 29th at Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts, during a one night performance starring Melinda Buckley.
Buckley’s solo performance will follow Mama Rose and Melinda as they face losses in life and each other. Kimberly Senior, director of the 2013 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Disgraced,” will direct the performance.
Buckley, who also wrote the script, has previously appeared on Broadway and in the national tours of various shows, including “Crazy For You,” “A Chorus Line” and “Raggedy Ann.” Her latest venture, “Mother (and me),” was recently awarded “Best of Fest” at the C.O.W. and was featured in Fringe NYC 2014.
