Rock out at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center with one the greatest guitarists the industry has ever seen.
"The opening reception is free and attracts hundreds of artists and art patrons who enjoy catching up and viewing the over 460 works on view, many of which are for sale," said Barbara-Jo Howard.
"The response and generosity from the artists to the 5x7 event has been overwhelming and their willingness to submit art anonymously epitomizes the shared spirit of community that Hayground offers and hopefully instills in its students," noted Toni Ross, Co-Chair of the Five By Seven Committee.
The second annual Theatre Alumni Writing Studio at Flying Point took place last week at the beautiful estate of George and Joan Hornig in the Hamptons.
The Nashville-based indie pop band, who have opened for Mumford & Sons, are headlining WHBPAC's WEHM Concert Series.
"I've had animals my entire life and our good friend Jonathan McCann helped me come to the realization that there was an opportunity to utilize the gallery in a special way, bringing in general awareness to the shelter, and provide a new fun category of animal art to the collectors we serve," noted Richard Demato.
"This program will offer kids an advantage in becoming skilled utilizing technology to promote their cause in a competitive world," shared Tracy Kolsin.
"Supporting and celebrating our artistic community is central to Southampton Arts Center's vision," expressed Director Michele Thompson.
"Those who love art tend to also love books, and we are pleased to wed these two interests with a series of May book signings," said Andrea Grover.
"This year, Bay Street is responding to this fascinating conversation by giving authors the opportunity to continue to work on projects that have had previous showings but which are still in the process of revision," explained Bay Street Theater Artistic Director Scott Schwartz.
