"Children are eager to share observations about art," noted Education Director Cara Conklin-Wingfield. "This enthusiasm, combined with guided discussion, leads to deep engagement and collaborative learning."
Jay & The Americans, vocal group hall of famers, and one of the '60s and '70s greatest doo-wop groups, will hit the stage at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.
"We are proud to offer our audience a world premiere as part of the season, continuing our commitment to making Bay Street a center for new works for the theater," said Artistic Director Scott Schwartz.
With miserable winter weather keeping kids cooped up, these winter theater camps featuring Disney favorites are a great way for students to express their creative side when playing outside is limited.
The exhibit will feature works by YARP students as well as Jose Carlos Casado, a Watermill Resident Artist in 2014, and Springs-based Christa Maiwald.
Hamptons International Film Festival and Guild Hall are presenting a special screening of the 1956 masterpiece, hosted by Alec Baldwin.
The HooDoo Loungers, Black & Sparrow, Randall Hudson, Sarah Conway, Mama Lee & Rose, Joe Delia, Inda Eaton and many more are taking part in the ultimate battle of the bands.
Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is inviting ballet dancers within the ages of five to 18 to participate in their Spring Ballet Residency with Peconic Ballet Theatre, as part of the Theatre's Arts Education Program.
"Each year, the Parrish looks forward to the enthusiasm for art making and the creativity expressed in the Student Exhibition," Museum Director Terrie Sultan said. "That energy is amplified this year by the Ladd brothers' residency."
"Both classes emphasize drawing from observation," Cara Conklin-Wingfield, the Museum's Director of Education noted.
