Mark your calendars and get ready to kickoff your summer in the Hamptons in style at this year’s 8th annual ArtHamptons showcase. East Enders are invited to celebrate Independence Day surrounded by friends, family, and fine arts during the weekend-long event, which kicks off on Thursday, July 2nd, and wraps up on Sunday, July 5th.
“We expect to showcase over 1,000 significant works of art by some 300 respected artists,” Rick Friedman, ArtHamptons Executive Director, said. “Galleries from the East End will be joined by prominent dealers from 10+ countries. We will offer valuable must have treasures for every budget.”
With record attendance and art sales expected, this event is positioned to be a huge success. And, as the first major art show of the season, it’s something you definitely won’t want to miss.
Moving one mile from the previous location, the fair will take place at one of the Island’s most celebrated private estates – a reserve on Scuttle Hole Road and Lumber Lane in Bridgehampton. The location’s “behind the hedges” vibe will allow attendees amble privacy to escape into a world of fine arts and creativity.
“The fair will again offer fairgoers a curated and dazzling selection of important post-war and contemporary art in all media,” Friedman said.
To jumpstart the weekend, an Opening Night Preview is scheduled for Thursday, July 2nd, benefiting East Hampton’s Guild Hall and New York City’s Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.
