"Unfortunately, we did see a number of high results in the ocean towards the end of the summer following heavy rain events," noted Colleen Henn.

Top honors for the 10K went to Linus Kiplagat who completed the USA track and field certified course in 29:45.03, a 4:47 mile pace, and the top female finisher was Birtukan Fente Alemu who completed the race in 33:40.36.
"We are reviving the spirit of the old cinema and making it into a state of the art cinematheque," reflected Allen Kopelson of NK Architects.
"Change starts with education. Without educating the public on the harmful effects that marine debris, including plastic straws, has on wildlife, it will continue to happen and worsen. We are able to bring awareness to the community and make a change to better the world." - Jessica Kennelly, outreach coordinator for Group for the East End.

The ocean beaches of the Hamptons do that to locals and summer guest alike; the beaches on sunny days make us all smile.
