"I'm really looking forward to it, but I wish just once, I could beat Joan Benoit Samuelson," he said about the Shelter Island 10k/5k Run/Walk.
"It's a tradition you have generations of families and runners enjoying this day to either set a personal best, win the family crown, get together with their running teams to enjoy a weekend of fitness, fun and scenic beauty on the rock," said Mary Ellen Adipietro, Race Coordinator.
"You are what you eat, and knowing how to grow at least some portion of your own food is essential to understanding how to maintain your health in a culture of processed and chemical-laden foods," noted Marc Fasanella.
"We are so excited to put together this year's lineup of artists and vendors," shared Janalyn Travis-Messer.
"The harbor access areas collect debris and this community partnership initiative comes at a time when we need to spruce up the harbor front for the Blessing of the Fleet taking place the next day, Sunday, throughout our visitor high season and everyone who lives here," says Laraine Creegan.
