"This event is both a paddle, and a party," shared Kimberly Barbour, Marine Program Outreach Manager at Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Suffolk County.
"In the spirit of the Old Whalers Festival, there will be Whaleboat races, live music, old fashioned children's games, raffles, and an amazing assortment of food as Long Wharf is transformed into the largest Block Party over the water," shared Lisa Field.
"The Montauk community has graciously opened their arms to us and made us feel like family and we are forever grateful for that," said Steven Lippman.
"For many homeless, they choose to live on the streets with their animals as they do not want to be separated from them and this, of course, poses a number of veterinary health challenges," explained Jennifer Goodwin.
"One thing that we do see trending is the laidback and casual ambiance," shared John Kowalenko and Cheryl Stair. "Passed hors d'oeuvres are a thing of the past."
The goal of the Progressive School is to "teach the whole child - physically, mentally and spiritually - to teach a child so that he can put what he has learned into practice using all of his intelligences, to value product, not just scores."
"The 'Be a Good Egg' project was a beautiful coming together of the arts and a lesson in conservation," explained Christine Tylee.
"The Hamptons is all about exquisite cars, elegant events and the hot social scene, DriverOnTap is the perfect fit to get people where they want to be safely and with the convenience of their own vehicle," explained Alex Riguardi.
"I'm excited to go swimming and to watch the stars at night," explained ten-year-old Tyrone.
It happens every year the last week of August through Labor Day, and it signifies the "Grand Finale" of the summer on the East End.
