Eastern Long Island Audubon Society is offering four scholarships opportunities to students who live on the East End of Long Island.

As an effort to become more energy efficient, Suffolk County Community College installed high-efficiency L.E.D. lighting in the Peconic Building at the College's Eastern Campus in Riverhead. The project paid off, literally.

"I always knew that I would return to Long Island," said The Retreat's new Chief Financial Officer, Patrice Dalton. "The surprise of finding that job announcement—and the timing of it—was just unbelievable."

"As a dog owner, myself, I understand the love and affection pets bring to our lives," noted Senator Ken LaValle. "Innocent animals should never be subjected to the horrendous conditions that exist in breeders' facilitates."

"The first annual Hamptons Wellness Week is a weeklong community-based celebration of wellness for the body, mind, and soul, from Montauk to Westhampton," noted Kiley Sabatino and Anastasia Gavalas, Hamptons Wellness Week Founders.

"This is a sober look at how seaboards are vulnerable to a rise in ocean levels, made worse by storms and massively worse by massive storms," noted Daphne Howland of the Village Voice.

"I had a grand idea to invite all the writers I respected to the Hamptons," said Beyonce about her self-titled fifth album "Beyonce."

The Stony Brook University Women's Basketball Team took a break from practicing at the Pritchard Gymnasium for a very special visit to the Stony Brook Cancer Center.
