The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will host their fifth annual benefit at the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays.

With clear skies and shining sun, the first pitch of the 66th annual East Hampton Artists & Writers Celebrity Softball Game was thrown at 2 p.m., after about two hours of batting practice.

"We are thrilled to be hosting SummerFest, where the entire community will be getting involved to support Southampton Arts Center, a hub of arts and culture in Southampton Village," said SummerFest co-chair Simone Levinson.
