East Hampton minister Reverend Denis Brunelle and East Hampton’s Mayor Paul F. Rickenbach, Jr. are preparing to be dunked at St. Luke’s Summer Family Fair on July 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The East Hampton Mayor and church minister will be soaked, over and over again, for a good cause of course. They have taken on the challenge to help raise money for the church.
Reverend Brunelle joked, “Have you ever wished you could dunk a rector, priest, minister or pastor? At our summer fair, everyone can have that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
The old-fashioned family fair, which has been taking place for more than 125 years, will have fun for the entire community. Music, carnival-style activities, games, face painting, pony rides, raffles for kids’ toys, and great summer-fair foods are only some of the activities that will happen during the afternoon.
The St. Luke’s Summer Family Fair will be held at 18 James Lane in East Hampton. For more information visit www.stlukeseasthampton.org or call 631-329-0990.
