The East Hampton community is coming together to host a benefit for one of their own on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, from 6 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Michael Farrell and Sharon Losee, East Hampton locals and close friends of the Talkhouse community.
Farrell, a former bartender at the Talkhouse and Blue Parrot, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2008, and is also battling cancer. In order to care for him, Losee has stopped working. Even with Medicaid, Food Stamps and HEAP, the couple is still struggling with daily expenses. Their tight financial situation has caused friends, family and community members alike to rally behind them in support.
The benefit at the Talkhouse will include food, live music from Nancy Atlas and Inda Eaton, Klyph Black and more, a raffle, auction and open donations. The suggested entry donation is $25.
The Stephen Talkhouse is located at 161 Main Street in Amagansett. For more information about the event, visit www.facebook.com. If you are unable to attend, but would click like to donate, visit www.p4h.org.
