The San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons is returning to the East End for two days of incredible Italian delicacies, live entertainment, fireworks, artisans, and midway rides. On Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5, 2014, head to Good Ground Road in Hampton Bays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for a variety of activities for all ages.
For the first time, the Feast is holding several eating contests sponsored by Gigi’s Kids. Those 8 and up are welcome to take part in devouring a “Find the Gummy Bears” Whipped Pie, Italian flag jello, meatball mania, or a smorgasbord of spaghetti depending on the age group. Registration is $5 and will be available on the day of. Entertainment throughout the weekend will include performances from The Voice of Romance, Franco Corso, The Smooth Voice of Johnny Avino, Elio Scaccio, Badlands (a Springsteen Tribute Band), East Coast Band with “American Idol” alum Big Mike, Carmello the Singing Pizza Man, and Project Vibe. Fans of “The Sopranos” should make sure to attend the meet and greet with Joseph R. Gannascoli aka Vito and basketball fans can meet the New York Knicks’ John Starks on Saturday.
Along with bites from a plethora of vendors, attendees can taste local eats from Oakland’s Restaurant & Marina, The Inn Spot on the Bay, Rumba, Shuckers, and Boa – Thai.

Once again, the San Gennaro Feast of the Hamptons is raffling off a Vespa. Tickets are $20 for one or three for $50, and they’re available at GiGI’s Kids/Monika Straka (48 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays), Scotto’s Pork Store (25 West Montauk Highway), Skidmore’s Sports (9 East Montauk Highway), or any of the San Gennaro Feast Committee members.
Proceeds from the Feast will support Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach, The Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital, and The San Gennaro Scholarship Fund, a 4 year scholarship for a local graduating student going onto college.
