Southampton Historical Museum and the Rogers Memorial Library are embracing the holiday season by hosting several seasonal workshops. From baking the perfect pie to crafting one-of-a-kind decorations, attendees will leave the classes with a festive new skill.
First up is a Holiday Wood Wreath Workshop on Thursday, November 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. Shannon, of Sea Green Designs, will lead the hands-on class and show how to use Amy Howard, at Home One Stop Paint, to craft an antiquated and distressed Wood Laurel Wreath, which attendees can take home.
Next up is Traditional Holiday Pies Made Easy with Stacy Dermont on Thursday, November 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. Dan’s Papers senior editor Stacy Dermont will guide the class as they learn how to make a variety of holiday pies including apple, pumpkin, and mincemeat (vegetarian) from local fruit. Attendees will have the chance to help form the pies and will leave with detailed recipes as well as one full-size pie to bake at home.
The final November class is a Pinecone Holiday Tree Workshop with Florence Rewinski on Thursday, November 20th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rewinski will teach participants how to construct a stunning pinecone holiday tree for your home. Bring your own scissors, wire cutter, hot glue gun, glue sticks, and floral picks and the Museum will provide the rest.
Classes range in price and pre-registration is mandatory.
