The East End’s sole domestic violence service agency, The Retreat, has named Loretta K. Davis as their new Executive Director.
“Following an extensive search, The Retreat’s Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Loretta Davis as our new Executive Director,” expressed Gail Rothwell, Board President. “We are excited to welcome Loretta to continue moving the agency in a forward direction. Her leadership will strengthen our services, which reach thousands of Suffolk County visitors and residents each year.”
With a law degree from New York Law School, Davis had previously held the position of Town Justice in Tuxedo, N.Y. for 20 years, where she dealt with civil and criminal cases and worked with Hurricane Sandy victims as Moderator for the Roundtable. She also has extensive experience with non-profit organizations, including Business Council for Peace and Habitat for Humanity.
“I am inspired by The Retreat’s mission and honored to have the opportunity to lead The Retreat in engaging our East End communities, our regional and state leadership, our donors, and critical community partners to fully realize our shared vision for a violence-free community,” Davis said.
